Depth - Illustration Friday

Not the first idea that came to mind...but started doodling and this was the result (dont know why but lots of my work has eyes in it at the moment)
.....sketch started as a tornado and developed from there.
Initially worked in pencil -2b and 6b and scanned into PS to load up.

I think I can see your dreaming dragon in there. There is depth in your drawing each week :)

Yes...there is something serpentine about this, although at first I thought of a tornad, perhpas because I watched the Wizard of Oz this week. I like the strength of your lines and the progression of the eyes that seem to cry more tears as they get to the bottom...or dry up as they near the top. Very nice!

Thanks for stopping by my site.

I went through an 'eye' phase too. I think it means you're inquisitive.

The eye of the storm? This is inspired and kind of creepy - I like the stream-of-consciousness involved in putting this to paper. It has a haunting Escherish quality to it.

maybe those eyes are trying to help you see something. i'm glad you left it as a sketch in graphite- all gray & sad.

i think i read somewhere that having "eyes" in artwork (or was it dreams?) is a symbolism of searching. either of oneself or contentment in the outer realm..
anyway, you have such interesting artworks! and this is one of my fave of them..
