Illustration Friday -Roots


Not overly happy with this piece...it is done in mixed media then tweaked in PS - I didn't quite achieve the effects that I was after. Still ....keep trying eh?

I enjoyed this piece very much because there used to be a mass of roots behind a house I used to live in. Spooky...it looks exactly this!

It looks great close-up! The good thing about PS is you can create new art from art :) It's always sad to see a tree uprooted like this.

You can see right away that it is an uprooted tree which is a tangled web of roots. Very effective. I like it.

This is a really lively looking picture - there's something bristly spider/lobsterish about these roots!
